The Bulgarian soprano Krassimira Stoyanova, who has sung with great versatility on these three albums, presents a collection of arias from the Verismo opera. She has recently demonstrated her talent in Richard Strauss's Marshal's Wife and religious works, but her current focus is on arias from verismo operas, which require direct emotional expression. Stoyanova sings women of various personalities portrayed by Puccini, Giordano, Cilea, and Mascagni with her exceptional lirico spinto soprano.
