Description:
Includes world premiere recordings of his works! The Complete Works for Recorder by Hans GallThe altricorder virtuoso Sabrina Frey has recorded the complete works for recorder by Hans Gall. Gull was born in 1890 in Brun am Gebirge, located west of present-day Vienna, and died in Edinburgh in 1987, a composer of longevity. In the latter half of his life, he moved to England to escape the Nazis and lived through turbulent times. His style was late Romanticism, and he left behind many works with beautiful melodies that appeal to listeners. He was particularly attached to the altricorder, and after composing a clarinet quintet and a string quintet in 1977, he put an end to his compositional activities, but in his final years, his passion for composition was rekindled, and in 1983 he composed the Sonatina for Recorder and Four Bagatelles. These are world premiere recordings of Gull's late works finally seeing the light of day. King International
